Here are the 5 beaches we recommend during your stay at La Pineta al Mare.
1. Bonagia Beach
Bonagia beach is just 5 minutes from our property and the easiest to reach. Fine sand, shallow turquoise water and a stunning view of the historic tuna factory make it perfect for families with children. At sunset, with Mount Cofano in the background, the scenery is simply breathtaking.
2. San Vito Lo Capo
San Vito Lo Capo is widely considered one of the most beautiful beaches in Italy, located about 40 minutes from Erice. The white sand and emerald-green sea are reminiscent of the Caribbean. We recommend going early in the morning in July and August to avoid the crowds, or visiting in June and September when it’s quieter and the sea is already warm.
3. Baia di Cornino
Little known to tourists, Baia di Cornino is a small, unspoilt beach tucked between the rocks, about 30 minutes from Erice towards San Vito. The water is a deep, intense blue — ideal for snorkelling. A short walking trail leads down to the beach, so bring comfortable shoes and some water.
4. Lido di Valderice
Lido di Valderice is the closest beach to guests staying in the Erice area, reachable in under 10 minutes. It’s a fully equipped beach with sun loungers and umbrellas, perfect if you’re looking for convenience. Several bars and restaurants along the seafront make it a great spot for a fresh fish lunch.
5. The Egadi Islands
The Egadi Islands — Favignana, Levanzo and Marettimo — are reachable by ferry or hydrofoil from Trapani harbour in 20 to 60 minutes. Favignana is the most famous, with the beach at Cala Azzurra and the natural pools of Cala Rossa. Marettimo is the wildest and most authentic, perfect for snorkelling and hiking. A full-day trip here is absolutely worth it.
